Neighbours not at ease

IT HAS BEEN ABOUT three weeks since the body of 66-year-old Richard Shepherd was discovered in a pool of blood at his Bamboo Avenue, Mapps, St Philip home.

His neighbours are, however, still uneasy and are more cautious when they hear anyone outside. They always try not to be alone.

Orlando Ferreira, who was at the house where Shepherd’s body was found, described him as a very nice man, someone whose death really hurt him personally.

He worked as Shepherd’s farm manager for four years but knew him for about seven. (LK)
