BDFSP roll over Belfield
BARBADOS DEFENE FORCE Sports Programme (BDFSP) moved three points clear of Weymouth Wales with a 3-0 win over Belfield, when matches continued in the Digicel Premier League at the Wildey AstroTurf on Thursday night.
BDFSP overcame a spirited Belfield side through a first half Decarlo Jemmott strike, coupled with late goals from Raheim Sargeant and Omani Leacock, as the soldiers continue their hunt for the title.
In the other game on the night, second placed Wales were held to a 1-1 draw by Ellerton, following their loss to Notre Dame. Wales, who went into the match-day trailing BDFSP by just one point, having played a game less, had to come from behind to take a point in the end, after Riviere Williams’ 56th minute strike cancelled out Shane Hermas’ opener for Ellerton in the 50th.
