A BARBADIAN FAMILY in England has been left devastated after one sibling of nine was found dead in a police cell.

Leroy Junior Medford, 43, died 24 hours after he was taken into custody by officers and taken to Loddon Valley Police Station. He was arrested at around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, at an address in Reading, Berkshire, on suspicion of assault and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

His body was discovered in the early hours of the next day. Post mortem results have proved inconclusive.

Now his sister, speaking on behalf of the family, said they wanted to know how and why he died. (TR)
