The Pot is back

THE POT will be hot and bubbling again this year as the fire has already been stoked.

That assurance has come from Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley, while revealing that the popular Cohobblopot will once again be a part of Barbados’ Crop Over Festival calendar.

There was no Cohobblopot last year, while in 2015 the event was replaced by the 1Love concert, featuring acclaimed Trinidadian calypsonian Machel Montano and his Monk Monte band.

“As you know, the Cohobblopot experience is something that Barbadians have looked forward to over the years and because of the cost of staging the Cohobblopot, we have been exploring opportunities of partnering with the private sector,” Lashley told the WEEKEND NATION in a wide-ranging interview while he was in Curacao for the Flow CARIFTA Games.
