FORMER BARBADOS sharp shooter Lydia Bishop scored a game-high 25 goals to lead Spooners Hill Firebirds to a 31-29 upset victory over C.O. Williams Rangers when the Barbados Netball Association’s Division 1 league continued on Wednesday night.

Firebirds, who returned to Division 1 this season played the better midcourt and shooting game at the Netball Stadium.

Only the experience of national captain Rhe-Ann Niles at goal keeper and Tonisha Rock-Yaw, who alternated between centre and goal defence for an out-of-sorts Kerri King, kept Rangers in the chase.

Both teams showed great skill in getting the ball up or down the court and were just as adept in passing it to an opponent.
