A FRIENDSHIP came to a bloody end yesterday on a sidewalk along Jemmotts Lane/Bay Street, St Michael, in an early morning fight between two women.

Thirty-four-year-old Shockaya Natalya Boyd, a Jamaican, staying in Jemmotts Lane, St Michael, died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after a fight around 2:30 a.m. with another Jamaican woman, now in police custody.

A resident in the area, who spoke to the SATURDAY SUN on condition of anonymity, said there was a feud between the women. She said Boyd, who was here for only a week, came at the invitation of the alleged assailant.

In the area populated by Jamaicans, witnesses said a number of people were in the area when the fight broke out, reportedly over the number of “clients” between the two and possibly the attentions of a man.
