ASHLEY NURSE was on fire yesterday.

The Barbados Pride and West Indies limited-overs all-rounder smashed an unbeaten 80 off 47 balls to lift Gladiola to a third successive victory in the Barbados Cricket Association’s Sagicor General Twenty20 competition.

Playing in the second match of a double-header at Waterford, Gladiola beat hosts Combermere by seven wickets, overhauling a target of 144 with eight balls to spare.

They maintained their 100 per cent record and emerged top of Zone B at the end of the first phase of the competition.
