Update: Rider dies at Barbarees Hill

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING the unnatural death of a 43-year-old woman who died in an accident at Barbarees Hill, St Michael, today.

Police say preliminary investigations into the death of Toni Barrow of Paradise Gap, Spooner’s Hill, in the same parish, suggest the motorcycle struck the sidewalk and she fell.

The accident happened across the road from New Dimension Ministries around 10:45 a.m.

Acting superintendent Bruce Rowe says they are treating it as an unnatural death rather than a road fatality as they await the result of a post mortem.

No other vehicles appear to have been involved, but police are appealing to witnesses to contact the hotline at 429 2987 or the Black Rock Station at 419 7500. (SB)
