CANADIAN INVESTORS have plugged close to half-million dollars into the Barbados Entertainment Centre (BEC).

The island’s newest entertainment facility, which opened its doors on March 31 at 43-44 Warrens Park, St Michael, was officially unveiled yesterday in the presence of Minister of Commerce Donville Inniss and Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley.

Managing director Sharon Anthony said she and her business partner, Barbados-raised Kenwyn Warner, had a “stellar” first month as the response exceeded projections.

She added the wind-down celebrations from Common Entrance on Tuesday, which continues for the next two weeks, attracted some of their biggest business to date. (YB)
