SIR RICHARD BRANSON has done it all in business, and now his attention is turning to inspiring young leaders and fighting big global causes.
Yesterday while addressing the Virgin Atlantic Business Is An Adventure leadership conference at Hilton Barbados, the British businessman said one of his passions was getting the world to do a 180-degree turn on how it fights illegal drugs.
He said the region would have much better outcomes if it focused less on drug addiction as a criminal problem, and incorporated it as a health challenge.
Sir Richard said he still had much more to offer the world but it was less about business and more about humanity. His passion is now about securing universal health care, protecting the world’s oceans, fighting climate change, abolishing the death penalty and redirecting the war on drugs from the criminal system to treating it as a global health issue.
