Holder hails team effort
WEST INDIES’ captain Jason Holder has praised his players for the team effort that led to their 106-run victory over Pakistan at Kensington Oval yesterday in the second cricket Test of the Brighto Paints G Mobile Cup series.
“It feels really good. It just shows what hard work can do. The guys really put in a good effort in preparation leading up to this game. We took it to the end,” Holder said in a post-match media conference.
“We set up some plans in the dressing room and we went and executed them, so credit must go to everybody, especially the fast bowlers, who just kept running in.”
Holder felt that scoring over 300 runs when the Windies batted first on winning the toss, with middle order batsman Roston Chase scoring a second Test century, was critical to the final outcome.
