THE BARBADOS WATER Authority wishes to advise residents and businesses in parts of St Thomas, St Michael and St James that the Ionics Desalination Plant at Spring Garden, St Michael will be offline from 8 a.m. tomorrow until midnight Wednesday.

This two-day shutdown is to facilitate the annual maintenance of the plant as well as to upgrade the SCADA system.

As a result, low water pressure and outages may affect residents and commercial customers in and around the following areas: Bagatelle, Redmans, Kew Land, Reid Hill and Welches Terrace in St Thomas; Grazettes, Long Gap, Spooners Hill and Waterford in St Michael; Bagatelle, Prior Park, Clermont, Mount Standfast and South Road Sandy Lane in St James.

Customers are asked to store an adequate supply of water for the duration of the shutdown. Water tankers will also be dispatched to assist.

The Barbados Water Authority regrets any inconvenience to its valued customers. (PR)
