RENDEZVOUS MADE THEIR first trip to the final of the Barbados Cricket League’s C.O. Williams/Mitchie Hewitt champion-of-champions a winning one, coasting to an eight-wicket win over Bathsheba yesterday.

Left-arm spinner Nkosi Ross condemned the well-supported St Joseph-based Bathsheba to an inadequate 90 all out after they were asked to bat by the finals debutants with the contest being reduced to 28 overs a side due to a delayed start.

It then took just 8.5 overs for the youthful Christ Church outfit to polish off the meagre target and crown themselves in glory before a buoyant Sunday afternoon crowd at Lears.

Ross, an invitee to the limited-overs trials for the Barbados Pride prior to this season’s regional Super50 competition, proved almost unplayable on a slightly impaired pitch which had been exposed to showers before the start and also after eight overs of the first innings. (WH)
