Schools’ science skills
THE BARBADOS LIGHT POWER (BL&P) Electricity and Renewable Energy Science Exposition is a way for students to showcase how creative they can be when they put on their innovative caps.
The event, held yesterday at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic in Wildey, St Michael, not only highlighted this innovation, but also how confident and passionate the students were about science. Children six years and over impressed the judges with how well spoken they were and their ability to explain their science projects comprehensively.
Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Ronald Jones was also surprised by the level of interest and cleverness of the participants from 12 primary and six secondary schools. (SB)
