Villa outshoot Rangers
GUARDIAN GROUP Pride of Villa overran C.O. Williams Rangers 54-33 to doom the former queens of netball to another likely season without any Division 1 silverware when the league continued on Wednesday night at the Netball Stadium.
Led by the versatile Latonia Blackman, who scored 31 goals from 43 attempts, and Under 21-trialist Khadija Domingo, who enjoyed her best game of the season, sinking 17 from 27, Villa moved to 2-0. Sadly, Rangers looked out of sort in losing their second game from four matches and a tie against the Under-21s.
Ironically, national captain Rhe-Ann Niles brought some dignity to the Rangers and not in her normal role as goalkeeper.
While Niles and an improved goal defence Kerri King had kept Blackman and Domingo under control in the shooting circle, Rangers struggled at the other end.
