Special Day for Ercilla
TODAY IS GOING TO BE a special day for Ercilla Sealy, of Bridge Cot, St George. She celebrates her 100th birthday with family and friends.
Yesterday was equally special for the Christian matriarch as her Newbury Church of the Nazarene saluted her on Mother’s Day.
Granddaughter Pamela said sealy was in fine spirits. She is the only living sibling of the late Reverend Irvin M. Wickham, the first black superintendent of the Wesleyan Holiness Church in Barbados.
The birthday girl is the mother of three children – two daughters, one of whom is alive, and a son. (JS)
