DON’T TAKE IT personally, but if you were not among the hundreds at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre (LESC) on Sunday night, you were hard done by.

That’s because the 17th edition of the Mother’s Day concert Mum, This One Is For You was the mother of all shows. It was well executed and had something for everyone: dance, comedy, music, musicianship and an active, engaging and highly enthusiastic audience.

In doubt? Then ask the throngs of those in attendance, including 94-year-old Eldine Boyce, who danced and pranced through the aisles throughout the four-hour show.

The show, which had Minister of Social Care Steve Blackett as patron, started promptly at 6 p.m. and was dedicated to late gospel icon Joseph Niles in the first half. (SDB Media)
