The boy,14, and Kavia Smith, the 16-year-old girl were taken to prison moments after the hearing. They are expected to return for sentencing Monday.

The prosecutor was Sergeant Derwin Thompson.

The public was outraged after viewing the savage beating on social media last week. It showed a 15-year-old girl fleeing her attackers and being kicked and cuffed about her head while on the ground outside the school.
