HOPEFULLY THE GRASS is greener for the King of swing.
Darian King is hoping a change of surface will lead to a change in fortunes, as Barbados’ top-ranked tennis pro starts his grass court season next week ahead of the qualifying rounds of Wimbledon.
The 25-year-old world No.116 expressed the sentiment heading into the Nottingham ATP Challenger as he looks to bounce back from a woeful showing on clay this year.
“I feel a lot more comfortable on grass but I am still going to go early and prepare for the Nottingham Challenger because you still have to be wary of the movement on grass,” explained King. (JM)Â
