A BARBADIAN LIVING overseas has come home to sort out his family’s property but is running into problems.

Ian Straughan, who lives in London, England, said his problems revolved around members of two other households who had been living on his now deceased father’s land, located in 3rd Avenue Pickwick Gap, St Michael.

“The land was deeded to me by my father, but he had two people who had properties on his land. One of them stopped paying rent, so I had to go through the legal process to have her removed.

“I got a court date and I understood that, once I did everything by the book, she would have to remove her house. I was quite disturbed when the judge said it was on our land so we had to remove it,” Straughan told the WEEKEND NATION. (CA)
