BWA and BHTA to talk water
IT’S WATER AND tourism, but it’s no water sport.
Over the span of this week, South Coast hotels have expressed frustration over the inconsistent supply of running water due to a Barbados Water Authority (BWA) issue.
But that dry cry has been parried by BWA rapid response and communications manager Joy-Ann Haigh, who revealed that some of those hotels did not even have much needed reserve water tanks.
And with the 2017 Atlantic hurricane season just started and expected to be busier than usual, both the BWA official and Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association (BHTA) chief executive officer Rudy Grant have declared that it is time to meet. (AD)
