Anti-Gun Unit find gun and ammo during car search

28-YEAR-OLD ST MICHAEL man was remanded to HMP Dodds until July 14, facing charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Almal Lamar Phillips of 1D Pavilion Terrace, Deacons Farm, appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court on Friday.

Police say members of the Anti-Gun Unit were conducting an operation in the area of Harts Gap, Christ Church on Tuesday.

Phillips was seen driving a car and during a search, a firearm and ten rounds of ammunition were allegedly discovered.

He was arrested and subsequently charged. (PR/SAT)
