THE PIC-O-DE-CROP KING OR QUEEN will be reaping more sweets this year in terms of prizes.

New Pic-O-De-Crop sponsor, car company Courtesy, has given a top of the line BDS$126 000 2017 Nissan X-Trail to the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) for the 2017 monarch.

The prize was revealed yesterday at the showroom in Wildey and Courtesy’s brand coordinator Catherine Leslie told the SATURDAY SUN: “We have always had sponsorship in the festival, but over the last two years what we usually would have contributed would have dwindled based on our budgetary cuts. But now things have picked back up in terms of sales and our new financial controller said he wanted to make our presence known in the festival.

“When the NCF’s Margaret Allman-Goddard called, we jumped at the opportunity. We had other options in terms of vehicles but we said this model was the best. Nissan is looking to elevate the whole festival in line with our image.” (NS)
