FEWER THAN 30 PEOPLE turned out to the town hall meeting at Solidarity House on Thursday night to give feedback on the proposals outlined in the National Tourism Programme (NTP).

Nevertheless, those present engaged in a robust discussion, whether it was in support of the $40 million project or to voice their concerns about some of the proposed enhancements to The City.

The suggested implementation of water taxis to operate from Constitution River as well as the reduction in spaces allocated to taxi operators in Beckwith Square, Lower Broad Street, from 29 to ten was denounced by president of the Barbados Taxi Association, Philip Garner.
