E. PAMELA SMALL Vauxhall lived up to their sponsors’ name by burying two-time defending champions R.L. Seale QEH 72-44 in Sunday’s final to capture the National Domino Association’s Emmerson Mellowes Knockout title at the Port Authority canteen.

It was the first four-hand title for the Christ Church side since they were promoted to Premier League, four years ago.

Captain Shurland Bovell led Vauxhall to a 38-32 lead at the half and got good support from Victor Adams and Dave Downes, who were the go to pair in both the quarter-finals and semi-finals.

Adams and Downes did not disappoint, slamming their way to 15 points, while Carl Seifert and David Alleyne pounded the tables on their way to 17 points, decorated with a six-love. (EZS)
