St Joseph resident frustrated

FRUITLESS. This is how St Joseph resident Jeffrey Thompson has described his effort in getting a broken water main fixed in Fruitful Hill.

He is not happy with the response of the Barbados Water Authority (BWA).

Thompson said it took two days for workers from the BWA to turn up to do repairs, but when he thought the problem was solved, the pipe ruptured again. 

“They came and just ‘jook’ it in or whatever, and time they left it was back out again,” he said. “They came today (yesterday) at 2:45 p.m. and 15 minutes after they left it had burst again.”

 He said he had been calling the BWA since Sunday. (SB)
