Shuttle service may come to Town

A SHUTTLE SERVICE could be in the works for Bridgetown to help shoppers with their parcels and to cut down on parking headaches.

Managing director of Woolworth, Martin Bryan, said the proposal comes as businesses in The City continue to suffer the fallout from the move out of the city by a number of government offices and private sector enterprises.

He said while Woolworth was seeing customer traffic, it was not seeing the customer spend.

He revealed that the company had been working closely with Government and the Police Force to increase parking, security and the cleanliness of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. (HLE)
