Mia let chance slip in Budget, says Gill
A FORMER Barbados Labour Party (BLP) candidate is still waiting to hear what’s the alternative for Barbados in the wake of the Financial Statements And Budgetary Proposals tabled by Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler last month.
David Gill, who was MP for St Michael South Central from 1999 to 2003, and who will be contesting the next general election as a member of the recently formed Citizens Action Partnership, believes Opposition Leader Mia Mottley lost a perfect opportunity to tell the country what her party would be offering Barbadians as a Government.
“Where the Opposition failed in the Budget was in not offering the alternative, like what Tom Adams did to [Errol] Barrow before. Miss Mottley should have come with a budget well costed, stating where she would get money if or when she assumes the Government,” he told the SUNDAY SUN. (BA)
