Sadness over Wally’s closing
SHOPPERS HAVE EXPRESSED their sadness that one of the landmark stores in Speightstown, St Peter, is closing its doors.
For over 45 years, Wally’s Enterprises has developed a reputation for excellent service to its customers, particularly struggling families who purchased school uniforms and supplies, very often on credit.
Owner Oswald Waldron, commonly known as Wally, when asked yesterday by a MIDWEEK NATION team why he was closing, would only say: “The time is right”.
It is understood that he will shut shop within the next month. (SB)
