UPDATE: 29-year-old remanded in connection with offshore drug haul

A ST PETER MAN WAS remanded to HMP Dodds after appearing in court today on drug charges.

Jamar Jamal Williams 29, of Cemetery Lane, Road View, St Peter, was reportedly onboard a boat intercepted off the coast of Barbados with 279 pounds of marijuana on Tuesday.

He was charged with possession of cannabis, trafficking, possession with intent to supply and importation.

Williams appeared before Magistrate Elwood Watts in the Oistins Magistrates Court on Friday and was remanded to prison to reappear on Tuesday. (PR/SAT)
