St John man falls and dies

A 70-YEAR-OLD Sargeant Street, St John man lost his life this afternoon after falling and striking the back of his neck.

Police say Andrew Rosevelt Maynard  was sitting on a wall structure near a standpipe in his neighbourhood and drinking alcohol when he fell backwards.

The incident occurred after 1 p.m.

Maynard was pronounced dead at the scene.
