ROSTON CHASE won the Cricketer of the Year and several other prizes in the WIPA/CWI annual awards ceremony held on Friday night at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica.
Chase, 25, took the top prize and was also named Regional Four-Day Cricketer of the Year, Emerging Cricketer of the Year and Test Cricketer of the Year.
Fellow Barbadian Jason Holder and Ashley Nurse (right) also won awards.
Holder, the West Indies Test and One-Day International captain, was named ODI Cricketer of the Year and Nurse the Regional Limited-Overs Cricketer of the Year.
Women’s captain Stafanie Taylor of Jamaica won the lion’s share of awards in that category including Women’s Cricketer of the Year, Women’s T20 International Cricketer of the Year and Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year.
Barbadian Joshua Bishop also took the top award for Under-19 players.
