Joint proposal to fix Stadium

A FORMER government minister is suggesting that a combined effort involving construction companies can assist with the renovation of the stands at the National Stadium

That’s the assertion of Noel Lynch, who is the first vice-president of the Amateur Athletics Association of Barbados (AAB), in relation to the facility whose stands have remained out of bounds for spectators for almost two years.

“I can in many ways empathise with Minister [Stephen] Lashley on the issues that he is facing. I am not here to put down Minister Lashley but we have said this in the [Athletics] Association [of Barbados] before [that] we believe there can be a joint approach to how we deal with the refurbishment of these stands,” said Lynch, who served as Minister of Tourism in the last Barbados Labour Party Government.
