DARREN BRAVO has finally deleted his “big idiot” tweet almost eight months after he was instructed to do so.

The Trinidadian batsman was sent home from the West Indies’ tour of Zimbabwe last November after describing Cricket West Indies president Dave Cameron a big idiot in a social media post.

Bravo used his Twitter account to respond to an explanation from Cameron about the reasons why he was downgraded to a ‘C’ retainer contract.

“You have been failing for 4 d last 4 years. Y don’t u resign and FYI I’ve neva been given an A contract. Big idiot @davec51,” Bravo wrote in a tweet on November 11, 2016 that was tagged to Cameron’s account,

In addition to cancelling Bravo’s match tour contract, the regional governing body asked the player to remove the highlighted tweet from his account and desist from tweeting about Cricket West Indies officials in the future.

While the tweet remained online for the past few months, Bravo had not been considered for selection to the West Indies team.

A check on his Twitter timeline yesterday, however, revealed that the tweet had been removed. (HG)
