50-year Port gates being demolished

WORKMEN HAVE BEGUN to demolish the security entrance at the main gate of the Barbados Port Inc. 

The million-dollar project is expected to make way for a new two-storey entrance with a dedicated lane for taxis and one for other traffic.

Divisional Manager Corporate Development and Strategy Divisional Manager at the Port, Captain Karl Branch, told members of the media the structure stood for 50 years.

He added construction would last for 18 weeks. (TG)
