Not so sweet

SNO-CONE VENDORS are feeling the chilling effects of the increased National Social Responsibility Levy, which went from two per cent to ten per cent on July 1.

While they are paying more for ice and the cups, they say they are still trying to keep sno-cones at $2.

Some vendors said customers are already complaining about the current price of the Bajan sweet treat, which is always in high demand on blistering hot days.

That’s why many said they will put their prices on ice at least for now. (CM)
