SOCA ROYALE IS proving to be the perfect venue for companies to get their staff and their families together for an entertaining social gathering.
For the staging of the MQI, 98.1 The One Soca Royale show on Sunday, some groups came in the hundreds, while some preferred a more intimate setting.
Gildan was one company with a large contingent. The group arrived at the Bushy Park venue early in three bus loads. The 400-strong group, dressed in their fluorescent yellow shirts, was clearly visible from their premium spot elevated from the racetrack, which provided a great vantage point from which they could view all the action on the stage.
Vice-president of human resources at Gildan, Esther Hackett, said the event, which was free to staff and fully catered, provided a great opportunity to give back to the staff. The group has been bringing a large contingent to Soca Royale since 2006. (LK)
