UPDATE: Three injured in lone-car accident

POLICE ARE CONDUCTING investigations into an accident in which three people were injured after a car collided with a utility pole around 7:10 a.m. at St Stephens Hill, Black Rock, St Michael.

The car was being driven by Damone Lynch, 27 years, of Goddings Road, St Stephens, who was accompanied by his 26-year-old brother and two female friends, ages 29 and 22 years.

The driver did not complain of any injuries.

His brother complained of pain to his head and neck, while the 29-year-old received a laceration to the mouth and the 22-year-old complained of pain to her head, neck and back.

Lynch and his 29-year-old passenger were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by private vehicle, while his brother and the other woman were transported to the QEH by ambulance.

Two fire tenders, and five fire officers under the command of Divisional Officer Errol Gaskin responded to the scene, but were not utilised.  (PR/SAT)
