THE ELECTRICAL FAILURE that caused Friday’s pump failure at the South Coast Sewage Treatment Plant is now a thing of the past.
However, the recurrence of a fault at the plant has not gone down well with opposition Barbados Labour Party spokeman on the environment, Senator Wilfred Abrahams.
Yesterday, Barbados Water Authority manager for waste water management Patricia Inniss, said the latest problem that caused the south coast overflows to return had been fixed permanently.
In a phone interview, Inniss said the issue would not recur as the newly installed pumps had a completely different electrical configuration. (AD)
