EFFECTIVE MIDNIGHT, August 6, the retail prices for gasoline and diesel decreased while those for kerosene and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) increased.
The new price of gasoline is $3.16 per litre, down from $3.18 and the price of diesel is now $2.35, down from $2.37. The price of kerosene has increased by one cent to $1.09.
A 100-pound cylinder of LPG now retails at $155.89, up from $153.42. The 25 lb cylinder is priced at $44.07, up from $43.46. The price of the 22 lb. cylinder has moved from $38.41 to $38.95, while the 20 lb. cylinder, formerly priced at $34.91, will now cost $35.41.
These represent increases of $2.47 per 100 lb. cylinder; 61 cents per 25 lb. cylinder; 54 cents per 22 lb. cylinder; and 50 cents per 20 lb. cylinder.
The mechanism being used by Government to allow for these price adjustments is in accordance with the imported prices of these products. (BGIS)
