GIVE THE NATIONAL Social Responsibility Levy (NSRL) a chance!
That appeal has come from Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, who does not believe that the recent eight per cent hike in the controversial NSRL has been implemented for a long enough time for a conclusive decision to be made on its effectiveness.
Stuart made the declaration yesterday evening while delivering closing remarks at the meeting of the Social Partnership at the Hilton Hotel.
Led by the labour movement and members of the private sector, over 20 000 Barbadians took to the streets last month in protest of the increased NSRL. (RB)
