POLICE HAVE ARRESTED and charged three men in connection with a number of firearm and drug related offences, allegedly committed on August 15, at Brittons Hill, St Michael.
Adesina Kijana Crichlow, 33, of Brydens Avenue, Brittons Hill, St Michael was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of 15 rounds of ammunition.
Akeem Samuel Carlisle Bentham, 24, of Best Road, Lodge Road, Christ Church was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of 14 rounds of ammunition.
Marlon Ricardo Thorpe, 34, of #691 Kingsland Terrace, Christ Church was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply cannabis and trafficking of cannabis.
On August 15, members of the Anti-Gun Unit, and the Tactical Response Unit executed a search warrant at Brydens Avenue, Brittons Hill, St Michael, where Crichlow, Bentham, and Thorpe were all found at a residence in possession of the firearms and drugs.
The trio appeared before Magistrate Douglas Fredericks in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court on August 19. Crichlow and Bentham were both remanded to Her Majesty Prisons Dodds, and will reappear in court on September 15.
Thorpe was granted bail at the sum of $5 000 with one surety and is expected to reappear in court on November 6. (PR)
