IT WAS THE post-Crop Over event eagerly anticipated by the hundreds who make up the guest list every year and guests at the annual Prime Minister’s Crop Over Reception at Ilaro Court last week certainly got their fill of the best of Crop Over 2017.
Diplomats, Bajans from the diaspora, leaders in the Public Service, people from the political constituencies and their elected representatives, Crop Over organisers and participants were there for the rollicking party hosted by Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.
Guests of honour were Acting Governor General Sir Philip Greaves, Chief Justice Sir Marston Gibson with special guests former United States attorney general Eric Holder and his family. Faithful to his Bajan roots, Holder was in Barbados vacationing with his wife Sharon and daughter Maya.
Stars of the 2017 festival, Sweet Soca Monarch Red Plastic Bag, 13-18 Junior Monarch Sparkle T and Pic-O-De-Crop Monarch iWeb kept the pumped up crowd on its feet. (GC)
