Joseph takes second Teen prelim

FLEDGING ENTERTAINER Kenya Joseph had one night to show why she was worthy of a semi-final spot in the 41st Richard Stoute Teen Talent Contest and she didn’t disappoint.

And after just one performance last Sunday at Divi Southwinds Resort, Christ Church, she affirmed why she was indeed deserving.

Joseph was the last of the eight contestants in the second preliminary and her first song, Jennifer Hudson’s One Night Only, was a brilliant choice to showcase her cannon-like vocals.

As the 16-year-old settled into a nice groove in the former song, her voice was flawless mixed with the right amount of soulful sensitivity. (SDB Media)
