Cannabis plants seized in rural parishes

More than 1 300 cannabis plants were seized by law enforcement personnel yesterday during a drug eradication operation.

Members of the Drug Squad, Tactical Response Unit, Suppressing Criminal Activities Threatening Society (SCATS) Unit and Barbados Defence Force conducted the exercise in Vaughn’s Land, St Joseph and Guinea, St John.

The operation netted 1 355 plants at Vaughn’s Land and 45 at Guinea.

No arrests were made. (PR/NB)
