Derrick Garrett passes

The local basketball fraternity has been thrown into mourning with the passing of president of the Barbados Amateur Basketball Association (BABA), Derrick Garrett.

Garrett, who was first elected as BABA boss in 2011, died this morning after a lengthy illness.

While extending deepest sympathies to Garrett’s family, the BABA also announced that all games scheduled for today would be postponed. (HG)
