Technical difficulties with ambulance service’s telephone system

Date:

Share post:

The public is kindly asked to note that the Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Emergency Ambulance Service is experiencing technical difficulties with its telephone system.

As such, persons with genuine medical emergencies are asked to call 511.

However, due to the volume of calls and the technical difficulties being experienced, if the line is already in use callers may hear a busy tone.

If this occurs, persons are asked to continue to dial 511 until they are connected to the Emergency Ambulance Service.

The QEH is diligently working to rectify the issue and regrets any inconvenience caused. We look forward to your cooperation in this matter as we continue to strive towards “Getting Better Together”. (PR)
