As a direct consequence of Hurricane Maria, now classified as a category 3 hurricane and currently hitting Martinique, the Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport is now closed.

All flights have been cancelled and passengers are asked to contact their respective airlines for any updates on their flight schedule.

Martinique is today on purple alert, the ultimate level in preventive measures as defined by the French Government.

The airport management team plans a reopening of the airport tomorrow September 19 from 7 a.m. with full assistance to all passengers upon approval of local authorities.
