Inniss raps unions for 24/7 delay
Minister of Industry and Commerce Donville Inniss continues to dream of a 24-hour Barbados and says it’s time the country makes it a reality.
However, before that can be done, says one union leader, there are more urgent matters to be dealt with.
“Barbados must move with great alacrity in becoming a 24/7 society. There are those who keep saying all the time before you do that, you have to have more lighting around the country, a greater network of bus services.
“Those are very myopic views that are designed to ensure we do not move forward,” Inniss said yesterday at St Mary’s Anglican Church after the Small Business Association kicked off Small Business Week. (TG)
