‘Must be easier’ to do business

Barbadian businesses and individuals are key to the country escaping the ongoing economic crisis, Leader of the Opposition Mia Mottley has said.

But even as she pointed to the need for Barbadians to be enterprising, Mottley lamented the bureaucracy that makes it difficult to do business.

“We have, for too long, been speaking about it. While we must focus on debt and deficits, as is our duty, it does not take away from us the obligation of making it easier to do business in Barbados,” she said.
